Molo is on an exciting journey, where we’re challenging ourselves to opt for the best and most responsible choices across our entire company. We want to establish an environment of high transparency around the initiatives that we are working on, and we want to bring our retailers and end-consumers along on this ride.
Below, you will find an overview where we constantly update the information about our plans, projects, commitments and goals for the future. If you have any questions or comments about our goals, please contact us at: molo@molo.com

At Molo, we’re working toward the following goals:
Fabrics and materials
Cotton: In 2025, as close to 100% of our cotton qualities must come from either GOTS* certified cotton or OCS* certified cotton. For a company like Molo, this means a great deal since cotton qualities comprise 85% of our key collections. We are working towards 100% but the last few percentages require the certification of a few manufacturers as well as challenges working with complex materials in the creation of denim and outerwear.

Synthetic fibres - swimwear: In 2024, 90% of all synthetic fibres used in our sportswear and swimwear collections must come from either recycled polyester or polyamide.

Synthetic fibres – outerwear: Designing and creating a sustainable piece of outerwear is a more complicated process because there are many different elements involved in the design, including the outer fabric, insulation and lining, and there are often many different variations of each component. Our goal is that in 2024, 60% of all synthetic fibres used in our outerwear come from certified recycled materials.

Certification
We want to expand our work with certifications and the standardisation of materials. Molo is already GOTS*-certified, OCS*-certified, and GRS* certified and we use LENZING™ ECOVERO™. Molo is especially proud of these certifications, as they refer to us as a certified brand and not just the materials we use. In order to become a certified brand there are strict demands for a long line of processes in the whole value and supply chain. From processing, production, packaging, labeling, commerce, and shipping. Besides this, there are also environmental demands and demands regarding social responsibility. We are taking these actions to inspire trust in our customers so they can be assured that their product lives up to what Molo promises.
Additional areas of focus
In addition to the above objectives, we are in the process of researching and testing various tools that can help us map our CO2 emissions and other general impacts on people and the environment. The clothing industry's value chains are some of the most complicated and therefore we need help to overview, diagnose and prioritize the sequence of our measures.
